Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp smooth Dijon mustard check for no added sugar
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce adds natural sweetness & creaminess
  • 2 tbsp date paste blend soft dates with water until smooth
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice for brightness
  • 2 –4 tbsp water adjust for desired thickness

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend until silky smooth.
  • Taste and adjust: add more date paste for sweetness, lemon juice for brightness, or water for a thinner consistency.
  • Transfer to a jar and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving — this helps the flavors meld beautifully.

Notes

Keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days in a sealed container.
Makes a wonderful dip for veggies, spread for sandwiches, or light salad dressing when thinned with a little extra water.
The turmeric is optional, but it enhances both the color and subtle earthiness of the mustard.
